Kindle edition badly formatted - practically unusable. Can't figure out how to return and get my buck back, so I'll warn you not to spend yours.Oh, and even though the DTE of "Newly Revised" links here, this is actually the 1915 edition, which is in public domain and available free elsewhere. Maybe even properly formatted.
After listening to over three hours of useless sleep-inducing details, it had to quit. Even most state and federal politicians who get elected would have a hard time retaining much useful information.
It would be great if an attorney would be recorded advising a friend and then the friend who is a board member would then implement what was just taught in a mock board meeting. It should be about 90 minutes long disclosing the more common rules and how and when to use them at not-for-profit board meetings.
Hopefully someone will produce an audio version for common folks who just want to learn more about Robert's Rules of Order as they volunteer as a director on a not-for-profit board. This is more for parliamentarians who oversee state or federal legislators.

Listening to this reference book of complex details being read is near impossible to retain for future application. I learned almost nothing useful in all that time.
The Kindle edition is very poorly constructed, no way to jump from table of contents (or index) to the applicable page, it appears to be merely a text rendering.The hard copy gets 5 Stars.
That is the "current edition". Get the right one for your organization. There are many revisions of Robert's Rules. Amazon mixes them all up. They're not interchangable, not even close. Check your organization's Bylaws and see which one it calls out.Find out for sure, but most likely, you want Robert's Rules of Order, Newly Revised, 10th Edition. For instance it promotes a $1.00 Kindle version that's ancient. The latest is on Kindle for $4.99 (ASIN B001GRGEZG) - but it doesn't have page numbers, and that's how people cite.
I have had this book for over a month already, have written one doctrine paper with its assistance, and have discussed its contents in multiple conversations. The Book was in excellent condition, and I could not have been happier. Thank you sincerely.
